All of our posts in these garden kits are round black coated steel posts with matching black caps and galvanized post sleeve inserts. All of our garden fence kits are removable or can be made permanent. We don't offer posts described as 'garden posts' or 't-posts'. Those post types are designed to be stuck in the ground without support. Over time, especially when the ground freezes and then thaws, those post types will not continue to be level and can tilt one way or another. These post types are also not very sturdy for deer and wildlife exclusion. They are flat or rectangular and can be bent forward or back. Round posts distribute post strength evenly across their circumference. From our experience, we've put together the most affordable and effective kits available. A good amount of our customers are referred to us by neighbors and friends; It's important to us that each customer will not only have a garden fence that works but one that looks good out in the yard.

These fence kits are suitable for excluding deer and wildlife from a garden enclosure. They are designed to be easily installed by a homeowner with basic tools including a level (we suggest using a small magnetic level for both post sleeves and posts), a small sledge hammer and a good pair of sharp snips to cut the fence mesh. For perimeter type fences where you're enclosing an entire yard or the entire perimeter of your property including a driveway gate, we suggest using one of our deer fence kits instead. Those kits include wider, thicker walled posts to better withstand pressure from deer across established deer paths. When building a garden enclosure, you're typically creating a square shape in which the deer can travel around rather than feeling forced to travel through your fence line as with a perimeter fence. The posts in these garden fence kits are thinner in diameter than our deer fence posts. This makes driving the post sleeves easier and also makes your garden fence that much less visible. These kits are also suitable for surrounding shrubs and other plantings individually. 6" of the included fence mesh is used to create a flap of material bent to the outside and staked to the ground. This prevents animals from getting up under the fence and into your garden.
