These garden fence ground stakes are used to fasten the bottom of a fence to the ground. For gardens, we suggest one ground stake every 3 feet or less. The standard installation method would be where you use 6" of fencing overlapped onto the ground, then use these bottom ground stakes to pin that overlapped fencing to the ground.
This prevents animals from pushing up under a fence. It also adds a dig deterrent; for even more dig protection, overlap 12" or more of fencing on the ground.
