This Graduated Reinforced Bottom edge adds extra strength and area to fasten the very bottom of the fence to the ground when needed.
Typically, our fencing is used to keep animals in or out and a key installation characteristic is attaching the fence to the ground to cover changes in grade and elevation, as a deterrent for animals going up and under the fence.
This poly fence has a 2 inch by 2 inch approximate opening size everywhere then reduces in size at the very bottom (the last two rows) to 2 inch by 1 inch approximately then reduces again to 2 inch by ½ inch approximately.

Bitterfence® combines the properties of traditional poly deer fence with additives as a chew deterrent. The capsaicin inside the polypropylene is designed to discourage animals from chewing. But determined chewers like rabbits, moles, groundhogs, etc can often break through or chew past this deterrent given enough time and motivation. For a true chew barrier, you typically need chew resistance materials like our 1” by 1” or smaller opening size welded wire fence.
Please note: Bitterfence® is a chew deterrent, not a chew proof material. For rabbits and other small determined animals, please consider our welded wire fence.
