10 foot tall dual leaf driveway gate with hardware and ground sleeves. Includes 2 1/2" support posts/frame, two large ground sleeves with set screw (patent pending), two side diagonal braces and two regular ground sleeves with set screw (patent pending).

Consists of two independent panels that can swing either way, coming together in the middle to latch to each other. One of the panels secures to the ground with an included drop rod. These gates are a nice design because you can open part of the gate for person access or the entire large opening for vehicle or machine access.

Note on gate hardware: over the years we have upgraded the hardware and tubing used in these gates (our tubing is roughly one tubing gauge thicker than other gates of this type on the market). For example, the corners in the gate hardware are black galvanized steel (as opposed to aluminum found in most gates of this type). The hardware is also black - screws, turnbuckle assembly, cable clamps and even the support cable is black. Included in all 8ft wide gates and wider is our new patent pending ez-side brace assembly. This assembly consists of a sleeve that is driven straight up and down vertically (as opposed to on an angle for diagonal braces) and hardware that connects the support post to the vertical sleeve. This is a much easier way to install side braces than driving a sleeve on an angle.

The width selected is the total opening size. For example, if you select 12 feet wide you will receive two six foot wide panels that give you a 12 foot wide gate.

Note on gate width: the width selection is the approximate width of the gate including support posts, hardware and space. Please use this width as a guide rather than a rule. If you are working with a specific space please order the next gate width up and cut down the three vertical pieces to fit your space.

Use the fencing from your fence kit to cover this access gate - no mesh is shipped with the gate. There are 50+ different types of fencing and these gates are universal (they work with all types of fencing - fence mesh).

Note on no-climb hardware: This hardware is designed to work with our no-climb fence kits. You will need to use your existing fencing to attach to the no-climb gate extenders. If you choose this option, please be aware that your large gate can either:

    1)

Have a permanent canopy across the

top of your large gate entrance. Depending on the height of your gate, this

means that if you wanted to drive a vehicle through the gate you would be

driving under the canopy. It?s not necessarily an issue but you?ll need to make

sure you have clearance. The gate can swing either way (in or out) with this

    configuration.

    2)

    Have no-climb hardware that swings

with the gate. This means that when you open or close the gate, the overhead

no-climb hardware and canopy moves with the gate out of the way; overhead

clearance is completely free. The disadvantage with this setup is that the gate

can only swing in one direction, which is in towards the no-climb

hardware. For example, if you have a fence installed to keep your cats in with

the no-climb extenders pointed inwards to prevent cats from climbing out, this

driveway gate can only open inwards in this configuration.

Ground sleeves are included to provide a concrete free installation - for additional support, you can install the ground sleeves themselves in concrete (sleeves in concrete are stronger than the support post itself in concrete - highly recommended for these very tall and often very wide gates). Sleeves have a locking set screw to make these gates permanent or removable. Large ground sleeves are 30" long and require one large driving anvil (different from standard driving anvil used with smaller post sleeves that come with fence kits). One large anvil will work with a infinite number of large sleeves.

Note: large driving anvils work with both large and small sleeves (as used in side braces).

Note: concrete footings are suggested for gates wider than 10 feet. Sleeves can still be used to make the gate removable but concrete should still be used for proper leverage.
